Removable dentures can replace missing teeth.'Partial' dentures replace a few missing teeth and 'full' dentures are needed if all the natural teeth are missing.
Complete dentures are best made of acrylic. Partial dentures may be made wholly of acrylic or alternatively, they can consist of acrylic teeth on a light metal alloy base known as a Chrome Cobalt Denture: this type of partial denture is more secure and less bulky. A flexible material is also available --Valplast. They are priced differently.
- If you have lost any teeth, dentures can improve the way you look, bite, chew and speak.
- They are custom-made for you and are made to look as natural as possible
- Without dentures, the natural teeth may move or tilt, causing associated problems.
* Dentures can be fitted immediately after extractions so nobody will know that you have had a tooth out. These are called Immediate Dentures.

Dentures will never feel like your
own teeth and may take time to get used to. If you haven't had a denture before, the dentist will be able to help you with care and advice.
